Due to the volume of inquiries we receive, we are providing this General FAQ to answer your questions about our courses and services. Please read through the information below - we hope that it answers most of your questions.
For questions about the Forensic Solutions Campus, including Administrative information, How the courses work, Terms and Conditions, Accreditation, etc., please link to our Student FAQ. If neither FAQ answers your questions, please feel free to Contact us.
The best place to look for our most current online course schedule is the Course Catalog. From there, you will be able to view course listings and access course description pages for each course. The course description page for each course includes a summary of course contents, start and end dates for each course, course fees, registration deadlines, a link to the registration form, etc.
Our courses are taught online, over the Internet. Lesson plans are posted weekly as web pages on a protected area of our website, and a web-based course discussion forum allows interaction among students and the instructor. You can log in on your own schedule and participate - there is no specific class time. Because students log in on their own schedule, it doesn't matter where you are located. In fact, we have a broad international student base.

We offer a professional certificate of completion for our courses. However, we do not currently offer CEUs or a degree or college credit, as our courses are designed to supplement other programs, colleges, and universities, not compete with them. Please note, however, that many students have independently arranged for CEUs with the state agency that governs their profession, or graduate, undergraduate and/ or independent study credits with their respective universities. We provide supporting documentation for this process whenever possible. For more information, please see our Accreditation page.
We feel that with our online structure, we can offer courses that are not generally included in Forensic Science programs. Our courses are also a good way to get an introduction to Forensic Science and related fields without committing to a full program. However, we do suggest that if you are highly interested in the field, that you consider obtaining your degree. For a degree in Forensic Science, we recommend these top programs that offer a M.S. in Forensic Science:
Other programs claiming to offer a degree in Forensic Science are often a degree in another field, for instance, Criminal Justice, with a concentration in Forensic Science. One program that does offer a M.S. in Forensic Science that we do not recommend is National University. For a listing of these programs and more, please see:
We offer many free resources on our website.
